Role Summary
We are looking for a service-minded Audit Supervisor to lead engagement teams within our boutique CPA firm. This role is perfect for a CPA professional who enjoys a mix of technical complexity—specifically within the construction and employee benefit plan sectors—and mentoring staff. You will manage a variety of engagements, ensuring high-quality standards while empowering clients and colleagues through a supportive, community-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership: Plan, supervise, and complete audit, review, compilation, and agreed-upon procedure (AUP) engagements.
- Quality Control: Ensure all projects are completed within budget and meet firm quality control parameters.
- Staff Development: Train and mentor staff on technical accounting standards and the specific computer programs utilized by the firm.
- Client Empowerment: Act as a key resource for clients, providing insights that go beyond standard compliance to help them reach their business goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Credentials: Active CPA license required.
- Experience: 5–7 years of public accounting experience (CPA firm experience is mandatory).
- Industry Knowledge: Specific experience with construction contractors and employee benefit plans is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with CCH Engagement and Knowledge Coach applications is a plus.
