Tax Advisory Manager, Dothan AL

A CPA firm is seeking a Tax Advisory Manager to support small business owners and high-net-worth individuals with proactive, year-round tax planning as part of a team focused on doing taxes differently. This is an in-office position in the Dothan, AL area.

Location: IN-OFFICE POSITION; commutable to Dothan, AL
Compensation: $90,000 to $120,000

This role involves expertise with a wide range of tax advisory services, to name a few: 

• Entity & compensation optimization
• Real estate industry strategies (Asset sales, Depreciation, 1031, Real estate professional, etc.) 
• Workhorse strategies (Augusta, Accountable plan, travel optimization, etc)
• Retirement optimization

You’ll be a great fit if: 
 

• You live in or close to Dothan, AL
• You like to find ways to save people money on taxes
• You have a solid understanding of how the tax code works (specifically for business entities) 
• You want to host tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls, and quarterly calls to help provide tax advisory services to our clients throughout the year
• You are skilled at preparing and reviewing returns that showcase the final tax savings our clients will receive 
• You will be interested and intrigued when complex clients are signed up and are uniquely interested in spotting potential tax errors when reviewing a client’s accounting system
• You want to help train internal staff and build an incredible tax advisory team
• Finding new tax savings strategies for clients is exciting to you.

• To live in Dothan, AL or close enough to go into the office daily
• 5+ years in public accounting doing boring tax work
• 1+ years of managing a team of 3 people or less
• A CPA license, be an Enrolled Agent or have an LLM/JD in tax
