Remote Senior Tax Accountant – compliance and planning focused
 
 A fully remote boutique tax strategy firm that serves business owners and high-net-worth individuals nationwide is hiring a Senior Tax Accountant. The successful candidate will join their team in a client-facing, year-round role focused on both compliance and proactive tax planning.
 
This is a great fit for someone who values accuracy, prefers deep focus over small talk, and enjoys solving problems through research and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065)
• Lead tax planning kickoff and implementation calls with clients
• Research tax strategies and apply them to unique client circumstances
• Identify and correct tax errors and ensure compliance
• Stay current on IRS guidance and tax legislation
• Manage multiple client accounts and deadlines

Qualifications:

• Active CPA or EA license
• 2+ years of tax experience in public accounting
• 1+ year in a client-facing role
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort with cloud-based tools
• Thrives in a remote environment with a focus on independent work
• Comfortable managing complex projects and tight deadlines
