What is a SaaS Segment Leader? ​Reporting to the Managing Director and Partner, the SaaS Segment Leader (“SL”) will own the business development and revenue generation of our SaaS solutions vertical. The Segment Leader is ​responsible for understanding the business metrics and specific KPIs for our SaaS clients and strategizing with those clients on how to improve their metrics. ​ Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will be responsible for ​developing key client relationships and providing clients with strategic business insight and guidance, industry expertise and comprehensive financial acumen. You will anticipate our clients’ needs before they do, and provide them with solutions based on technology and analytics. In the ever changing world of SaaS, our Segment Leader must stay abreast of industry trends, competitors and global issues. As such, the Segment Leader actively works to elevate the Aprio brand by demonstrating thought leadership and developing meaningful relationships with key leaders within the SaaS industry. This is a highly visible role.

Key areas of focus:
●Develop the segment’s strategic direction consisting of a comprehensive growth plan, ultimately responsible for top-line revenue number.
●Grow and protect revenue, realization, and profitability in the Segment while managing an individual book of business.
●Drive resources and measurable plans to capitalize on high growth opportunities and accelerate business development.
●Develop integrated and holistic services to the Firm’s highest-value, strategic client relationships.
●Coordinate across all teams to support their client-facing efforts, acting as a subject matter expert for SaaS when needed.
●Leverage existing and create key strategic partnership​s within the SaaS industry.
●Leverage Data Analytics to better advise our clients and their decision making.
●Continually monitor and evaluate the segment’s business plan to ensure growth metrics are achieved.

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
●A minimum of 8 year of experience, ideally in senior finance or operations roles, for start-up or growth stage SaaS companies.
●Strong business acumen including the ability to identify business opportunities, attract new business, and build lasting professional relationships with clients.
●Demonstrated ability to grow the business through existing and new client relationships.
●Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
●Deep knowledge of SaaS businesses phases: setup, growth, and stabilization.
●Entrepreneurial curiosity and capable of thinking outside the box.
●Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and numerous stakeholders, to drive actions and outcomes.
●Demonstrated leadership skills; ability to manage up, down and across.
●Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to create easily understood insights.
●Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
●Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
