Job Overview:
Remote PT Xero Bookkeeper will perform bookkeeping for multiple clients mostly in Xero, but a few in QBO also. We operate in a fully cloud-based, paperless environment.  You will work with a diverse group of businesses, communicating regularly with clients, and delivering a high quality work product! 

Responsibilities for Remote PT Xero Bookkeeper

  • Manage the daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks for multiple clients
  • Daily AP, AR, Payroll, bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries
  • Prepare financial statements as needed
  • Complete and manage various accounting related projects for multiple clients.
  • Regular communication with clients to review their financial and accounting activities; skilled at developing strong long-lasting relationships. 
  • Must be available as needed from 9 to 4 Eastern, for clients and team meetings.


  • 5+ years working in public accounting or bookkeeping firm
  • Accounting, bookkeeping, Xero, and prior QBO xperience required.
  • Personable, hardworking
  • Ability to communicate with clients and team members clearly and effectively

  • Master in Xero
  • Karbon
  • Receipt-Bank and Hubdoc
  • Gusto (also ADP, Paychex)
  • Practice Ignition
  • Asana


  • Ability to multitask to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of debit and credits a must.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Success in a virtual environment
  • A dedicated, secure, home office workspace
  • Have a strong, consistent internet connection.
  • Ability to manage deadlines of various client accounts.
  • Self-assured, capable, comfortable and adept in both written and video client communication to clearly and effectively.
  • Enjoys working and communicating directly with the client.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and video communication skills.
  • Proactively communicate with each client, client advisor, and tax team.
  • Self-starter – able to identify work that needs to be done and do it without being instructed to do so.
  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and motivated.
  • High degree of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with technology including Microsoft suite, Gmail, zoom, Xero, QBO, Receiptbank, Gusto, Practice Ignition and Karbon are all pluses. Must have the ability to quickly learn new platforms.
  • Please note we are a Xero-centric firm so an advanced skill level on that platform is required along with knowledge of QBO as well.
