Our industry-leading CPA firm client has an opportunity on their Financial Consulting Services team.  A career within Financial Consulting Services offers:

Position responsibilities:

  • Use critical thinking to bring order to unstructured problems.
  • Perform self-review of your work and that of others to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Take the initiative to learn accounting software tools of our strategic partners (i.e. LeaseQuery and Softrax)
  • Seek opportunities to gain exposure to different situations and perspectives
  • Speak straight in your communication, in a structured manner
  • Step into your clients’ shoes when evaluating options for business process improvements
  • Be a brand ambassador as you represent Aprio in the community

Qualifications/Certifications Preferred:

  • Licensed CPA
  • 4 years of applicable experience win the industries/sectors of SaaS, FinTech, and/or Manufacturing
  • Ability to demonstrate/or a proven record of success in participating as an individual contributor and a team member with senior FCS practitioners and other professionals (e.g., PEGs, lawyers, auditors, advisors, SEC reporting groups) on complex accounting and financial reporting matters related to deals and other transformational events
  • Ability to demonstrate/or a proven record of success in advising multi-national, publicly-traded companies and private equity firms on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, and capital markets topics, including:
    • IPOs, carve-outs and/or spin-offs,
    • Acquisitions, joint ventures, post deal accounting and integration, restatements
    • Knowledge of technical areas
      • Revenue recognition
      • Lease accounting
      • Complex Debt (including embedded features)
      • Complex Equity
      • Business combinations
    • GAAP/IFRS conversions, change in accounting standards

Qualifications Needed:

  • Experience with access, Caseware, Softrax, and LeaseQuery
  • Bachelor’s degree required; in the related fields of accounting, finance, or economics
  • Must meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the CPA license, or provide documentation that your CPA license can be obtained in the state in which your office will be located through reciprocity based on either a CPA license held, or CPA exam passed, in another state
  • Demonstrates an interest in deals, capital markets, complex accounting & other transaction-based activities and should expect to operate in a high pressure, fast-paced work environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word
