Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met with exceptional service.
Conduct regular meetings to review financial statements and create customized tax projections tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. - Review and explain business and personal tax returns with clients, providing insights and guidance.
- Independently prepare error-free financial statements and accounting reports for client use.
- Manage relationships with staff accountants, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Review the work of staff accountants for accuracy, providing training and guidance on necessary corrections.
- File sales tax returns for applicable clients.
- Analyze and resolve issues effectively, identifying problems and outlining actionable next steps.
- Effectively manage workflow and schedule to ensure punctual client meetings and deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, preferably within a CPA firm.
- Ability to manage multiple clients across varied industries simultaneously.
- Prior experience working in a remote environment is preferred.
- Self-starter who is effective with minimal direction.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Xero and Thomson Reuters is a plus.
- Experienced with tech stack tools including ShareFile, Google Docs, Slack, UltraTax, Karbon, ADP, Excel, and Outlook.

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player who fosters collaboration and support within the team.
- Understanding of accounts receivable (A/R) and accounts payable (A/P) functions in relevant software.
- Experience in corporate and personal tax preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with processing sales tax returns.
- A dedicated home office workspace conducive to remote work
