Role Summary
Join a modern, boutique CPA firm providing white-glove tax and advisory services to a select group of high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an entrepreneurial CPA to step into a leadership position focused on complex client engagements, strategic planning, and review. The role offers high autonomy, a collaborative team, and a clear path for professional growth within a technology-forward environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Tax Review and Compliance: Review individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns (preparation is primarily handled by staff and offshore teams).
- Proactive Tax Planning: Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services tailored to the unique needs of HNW and UHNW clients.
- Inter-Professional Collaboration: Work closely with clients’ estate attorneys and financial advisors on complex structures, including funded trusts, family limited partnerships, investment partnerships, and rental entities.
- Team Development: Mentor and train staff, providing necessary feedback and guidance for continuous improvement.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, strong relationships with clients, with opportunities to take over and manage your own book of business.
- Strong tech stack: Leverage advanced technology and workflow tools (CCH Axcess, SurePrep, Liscio, etc.) to work efficiently and provide a top-notch client experience.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active CPA license (required).
- 5+ years of experience with individual, fiduciary, and business tax returns.
- Strong understanding of tax and estate planning issues specific to HNW/UHNW individuals.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong client service mindset.
- Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented approach to public accounting.
- Tech-savvy, comfortable utilizing automation and modern workflow tools.
